The tastes of Venezuela

The Domino Arepa is very popular in Venezuela, and @RecetasLily adds her own personal touch with her secret black bean recipe. Black beans in Venezuela are called caraotas which are also known in other Latin-American countries as frijoles negros, fréjoles, fríjoles, habichuelas o porotos. Equally delicious everywhere, especially when you add Tropical Queso Llanero Venezolano and Tropical Nata Venezolana.

Here is the recipe for Domino Arepas with black beans and cheese (even how to make the arepas fresh). Enjoy!

Lily is so excited about this new Tropical Cheese Venezuelan product line because whenever she misses the tastes of home, she can get her fix! Here Lily tells us a little bit more about what she likes about each cheese:

Queso Palmita, the one with the little holes goes great with the mandocas, softer and less salty.

Queso Llanero, a very typical Venezuelan cheese, is an aged, hard and dry white cheese.  It is used shredded to top eggs or of course in arepas with black beans.

Nata, great on everything, with arepas, eggs and madocas.

Queso para tequeños, a special white cheese that doesn’t melt and lose its shape and texture for the perfect tequeño.

The Tropical Cheese Venezuelan line is now available in Florida!
