Cheese and Vegetable Skewers

Turn on the grill and get ready for this summer BBQ favorite. These Cheese and Vegetable Skewers use Tropical Queso de Freír, perfect for the grill because it doesn’t melt with the heat. It just gets deliciously golden brown on the outside and juicy inside.

For veggies, you can use peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onion to add nutrients, flavor, and color.  But use anything you have available such as zucchini, eggplant, or corn. Ingredients:

  • 1 10 oz Queso de Freír
  • 1 box of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 small package of mushrooms
  • Garlic powder
  • Olive oil
  • Wooden skewer sticks; soak in water for 30 minutes before assembling

Preparation:

  1. Chop all of your vegetables and cheese into cube size pieces.
  2. Take a few cubes of each and put them on a skewer, alternating cheese and veggies.
  3. In a small bowl, mix oil and garlic powder and use a brush to coat the skewers with the mixture to marinate.
  4. Place the skewers on a hot grill turning often to cook evenly on all sides, until you see some grill marks. Take them off the grill and serve.
