Authentic Mexican Taquitos

Although tacos are Mexican, they have become an everyday meal in the United States - even creating Taco Tuesday!

There are hundreds of types of tacos, and this recipe is for fried chicken tacos. Tacos dorados (fried tacos) are very popular in Mexico. They’re made with corn tortillas and are cooked already rolled in a pan with oil, making them tasty and crispy. It’s a quick and easy meal that can be made at home – everyone loves them.  Besides chicken, tacos dorados can be made with potatoes, cheese, beans or meat.

In this chicken taquitos recipe, we use Tropical Queso Fresco and Tropical Mexican Crema, which are an essential toping for all tacos dorados.

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Boil water and add tomatoes, chili peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and drain most of the water, leaving just a little. Mix the ingredients for the sauce and season it.
  3. Place a handful of shredded chicken on each tortilla and roll it up tightly to make the taco; you can use a toothpick to keep it together. Fry the tacos in hot oil.
  4. Serve with the Mexican Cream, Queso Fresco, and lots of sauce. You can decorate the plate with avocado and red tomato.
