Colombian Picadera Platter

The Picadera Colombiana or Picada Colombiana is a platter full of your favorite ingredients to share. You can serve it for a family get-together, a party with friends, or to watch the soccer game.

The ingredients of the Colombian Picadera can vary depending on what you have in the fridge, the time you have to prepare it, or what you are craving that day. In the classic Picadera, you’ll always find cheese, chorizo , and arepas, but it can also include potatoes (papas criollas), meats such as pork ribs, fried sweet plantains, tostones, fried yucca, avocado, etc. So, your creativity is part of the process.

How to put together a Picada Colombiana? Very easy! Cut and/or cook each ingredient on its own, and arrange them on the plate for everyone to enjoy in their own way. In this version of Colombian Picadera Tropical we use Tropical Arepa Amarilla, Arepa de Queso, Chorizo, Quesito Colombiano and a glass of Kumis to serve, but your imagination is the limit.

Enjoy this Colombian Picadera Platter at your next party and experiment with colors, flavors, and ways of serving.
